Learning
During their first year in school, children work on the areas of learning which form the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Then children in Years 1 and 2 cover Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum and in Years 3 to 6 they study Key Stage 2.
At both Key Stages, literacy and numeracy are core subjects. Our Creative Curriculum combines all other subjects: Science, ICT, RE, History, Geography, Art, Design and Textiles, PSHE (personal, social and health education) and Music through topic-based learning.
Children also participate in a variety of sporting activities twice a week during PE, and Key Stage 2 children are taught French.
At Husbands Bosworth we are committed to preparing our children for life in the multi-racial/multicultural society which is Britain today. We aim to promote an understanding of other cultures and religions while recognising our foundation is that of a Christian ethos. We do our utmost to make children aware and tolerant of those with disabilities of any kind.
